Looks nice enough, but mucho dinero and who knows what's under the seat and ash covers.

I find the prices on Hemmings are inflated by at least 50%. There seems to be a bit of an uptick in 116 prices and by entension of course 6.9 prices as well. Might just be the "rising tide lifts all boats" scenario as folks seem to be throwing money at everything nowadays, Covid madness I guess :o
Definitely noticing a trend upwards...hopefully model specific but I agree with daniel, probably just the general market trend...these days you can get big bucks for a pinto!
2 year old pictures, so I wonder if he has been "trying" to sell for a while. "good" condition car listed for "excellent" price. Maybe his wife told him he had to list it for sale?

LOL. "Gosh Honey, nobody wants big sedans anymore. I'll just keep trying." As he happily drives it in the meantime.
Flow on effect of extreme monetary madness of the past decade. Low bond yields/ interest rates. At least persian rugs haven't skyrocketed in price.

Hemmings is a wasteland now days. A bunch of dreamers asking unrealistic prices for average cars with a poor presentation. You can probably guess what kind of person you'll get when trying to talk to them about their "$70,000" 6.9.

Indeed for me the only way I would drop 70K on a 6.9 (if I had the money to burn, which I don't :P) is a 1 owner, low miles, fully serviced and documented, original (and good) paint etc. Problem is these unicorns will be priced at double this ask ;D
