......and aren't they getting difficult to keep going?.....parts are becoming an issue.

No kidding!  I think Mercedes has figured out that if they make parts no longer available people will turn their interests toward new models and forget about a lowly (to Mercedes) W116.  Even the 450se I'm going through at the moment I'm having trouble getting some things that were always available......that all of  sudden aren't.

...and it's not just the W116. The W124 is facing the same fate.
