Imagine telling Mercedes-Benz Club members at a gathering before a car show that you are the proud owner of a 280SE cabriolet, they assume it's a $100,000 W111, and then show up in that. Too funny.

Who needs a roof? Or structural integrity? Or seatbelts? It has a nice tow hitch. And used to have self-leveling suspension.

 8) Don't claim you don't secretly want one, haha.. if only one could. Still, this thing is Germany road-approved, so integrity would be a given. Not too shabby!

No. Just no. It's too awful and too ugly for more words.

@Stan,

no, its not road-approved.

What Thomas said.
I'd say good luck trying to push that through the TÜV too...

No, but I would take a nice station wagon conversion.

Well, at least it has a trailer hitch  :o

I saw the Car papers on a second ad he placed. Presumed those would not have been issued without TUV?
Guess not!
So how the hell  is anyone gonna pay 14000 euro for that? :D

Well, I'd secretly want one, for sure, if properly built.
But then again, I would also love a W116 hearse, no matter how ugly. It just hits the right button..for me.
Good thing it all isn't real.
