Eye candy!!

Ever since I saw this pinstriping page I've wondered what design could be thrown on a 116.  This 280's a bit more subdued but it goes to show it can be done.

Love the car. Yet another reminder of how far I've got to go.

Didn't know you'd still be looking at the market Carl.  I've been resisting to tell you about this next one since you've bought already, but did you see the dealer car in Orange (the town, not the colour). '79 450sel

The car was relisted.

It looks gorgeous. I can only hope the 280 SE I am considering will look as nice as this car. I'm also wondering if that pin-striping came from the factory.

Hi Oscar,

That looks like a nice 450, had I not bought the 280, I would have gone to have a look at it.  But that's life, I won't be abandoning W116's, I'll keep my ear to the ground for a 6.9.

Regards,

Carl.

A 280SE for over $11,500 with 12 hours to go?  Wow...I can't believe it's going for that much, even if it has under 30,000 miles on it...
