I will post pics tomorrow, but today I bought a 1980 300SD. This car is in good shape and I am psyched. The interior is mint and the exterior is good with the exception of some rust on the fenders and a bubble below the rear window and missing front bumperettes. There is no structural rust like non in the floors, trunk, or rear quarters. The car has 233,000 miles and I am the third owner. I got a great deal for a car with working A/C no less. I had to drive it home 80 miles from Madison, GA to my hometown of Lizella. I plan to drive this machine to college in the fall.

Here is a list of broken parts:
pass. rear window won't go
tach
odo
cruise control
only one speaker works

Welcome to the forum! I, too, have a 1980 300SD. This place has been an amazing resource and very helpful. I'm a newbie myself but feel free to hit me up with any questions and I'll try to help the best I can. There's a few W116 300SD owners on the forum but the gassers definitely have us outnumbered! The only thing I'll say now is in the short time I've owned my car I've come to realize that dry, rotting rubber can pose A LOT of problems on these cars.

Can't wait to see pics. Again, Welcome!
