I found the door ashtrays in EPC.  they are 0008102630

sorry NLA

That ashtray number is the ashtray-only, not?
Guess it would be of little use, without the casing.
Am I correct?

Dan,
No, no Howard Hughes here....though I will admit that time is definitely my rate limiting commodity. I have basically been stealing most of my free time to get to the garage and 'wrench' whenever I can. It has certainly been taking my focus away from work and I am hearing more and more grief from my fiancé. I continually remind her that this garage/car thing has always been a dream of mine and I have only recently realized it. I have promised her that I will do my best to ensure that any future car purchases are near complete /finished products. :) In other words no more project cars....she has not quite figured out that there is really no such thing as a car that doesn't constantly need something....that can be our little secret for now.

Ptashek, Yes! what could possibly go wrong?? :)

I've attached a couple shots of the garage

Dan,
you are welcome to use my lifts anytime, just come on down to Detroit, just across the border :)
where do you stand on getting your car running again? i know you had that curb vs. suspension issue.

Malaysian,
Yes, that's a '74 Porsche 914.  I've had it for about 15 years and the stock 1.8 liter motor has been getting tired and leaking so I pulled it last year and a friend and I rebuilt a 2.0 liter engine for it.  It is getting ready to go back in soon (with fingers crossed).

Stan, yes, good eye. 2001 jaguar XKR Coupe Silverstone edition.

Detroit is a bit far from Vancouver ;D
My 6.9 is a bit of a sore point unfortunately.  I feel I am losing the battle with my insurance co, so the outcome is murky at best at this stage.
Hopefully the Panzer Phoenix will rise again 8)
