window washer pump question 80 300sd

pump is not coming on when pulling lever on combo switch.i have put direct power to pump motor and it works.im going to put in line tester with light to 2 leads on electrical connector at pump and see if i get power there with lever actuated at combo switch.if still no power should i assume combo switch is bad.fuses are ok

you are not supposed to pull the blinker lever to activate the pump, you  have to push the end of the lever in, water will spray from the nozzles in frond of the windshield and wipers will cycle 3 times. Pulling the lever flashes the high beams and pushing it forward keep high beams on.

don't.... today I struggled for about 30 minutes to re-install the tail light lamp holder on my step dad's 126 only to realize I was turning one of the locks the wrong way, duhhhh to me too.... hehehe
