What have you done for your W116 today?

Chrome tail pipes look very good and fitting them to the downward curving exhaust works. Always preferred the earlier exhaust, because of the chrome fittings, but when I replaced the exhaust it came with the downward curve. Never thought of sawing them off. Have you a source for the chrome fittings?

I bought the chrome tail pipes on a german webshop  : https://oldtimer-ersatzteile24.de/index.php?a=60001&bewertung_anzeigen=1#/dfclassic/query=Exhaust%20pipe&session_id=93d576b717dcaf0cf4d33e0fb9261676&query_name=match_and , they sell them in a few different sizes , i bought the 48mm without the bolt underneath becouse the tailpipes of my aftermarket rear muffler are almost 48mm , the 45 to 48mm has an bolt underneath

Thanks will look. Must measure the tail pipes though. Mine are supposed to be genuine Mercedes spares. What you have done looks really good never liked the curved one but thought I had no choice.

This is a great find!  My car had the straight chrome pipes when I got it.  Eventually I had to install a new Timevalve system with curved pipes.  The chrome looks so much better!  Looks like I'll be cutting the curved tips off in the Spring....     Cheers,

excellent Fichtl! Are the fasteners etc. new, or did you have those bits replated? Did you coat/paint that casting? I like this style of starter which supports the pinion at both ends, do you know if it is compatible with the M100 engine?

This starter is from my m110, the connecting elements are galvanized with blue zinc and the lid as well. The aluminum part is sandblasted and sprayed with silver metallic. Unfortunately I don't know if it is compatible with m100

Finally got around to restoring the trunk carpets, something we've left out in the main resto (well, forgot to do more like...)

They look like new again :)
I've used a van lining fabric, typically used in camper/RV conversions. The colour and texture match is near perfect.

@Ptashek Looks like a brand new trunk again !

Today a new wiper pulse sender relay and new fog light lens glasses for the foglights underneath the front bumper , one glass had a crack and the other glass was a little bit chipped so i replaced both and also for old/new color difference , i have the early type indicator stalk with the foot operated windshield/washer and when i press the foot switch the windshield washer works but the wipers dont and also the interval wasn't working for some time now , so i suspected the relay so i replaced the pulse sender relay and now it wipes 3 times when i press the foot switch and the interval is also in working order again , the MB part number is : A1158210063 and the SWF number is: IGE 601115 , i bought it at an local MB parts specialist and i could choose between one in an original MB package or one in an SWF package and both contain the same SWF relay's and the one in the MB package was almost double the price  ::) , this relay is located above the foot operated hand brake mechanism (i have an LHD)

Today nothing to do and i "made" an cassette tape storage box for the center console , i used 1 drawer from an 6 drawer cassette storage box , and with a bit of paint a piece of wood and some left over carpet it at least looks better than the yellowed piece of plastic it was before
