What am I seeing here?

I almost pulled the trigger on this one yesterday, as the advert makes it sound like it would fit my '76 6.9.

However, looking at the picture, it appears that this is a "melding" of two different dashes - it appears that there are vents up in the black portion of the dash, and the regular vents are down in the wood strip.

On my '76, the vents are up in the padded portion of the dash, and the wood strip is uninterrupted, save for the ignition switch and suspension valve.

Is this really a dash from a W116?

Maybe it's from a late model W116?

If it is indeed from a W116, would it fit my '76?

It's a w126 dash I reckon.  It wouldn't fit.

Here's a 560SEL

That's what I was suspecting.

By the way, did you know your picture is reversed? The steering wheel is on the wrong side  ;)

I think I'll send this seller a message about their part. No point in luring some uninformed boob (like me) into a purchase that will not go well.

Thanks!

And here's me thinking that your pic of the advertised dash wont fit any car because the cluster is on the wrong side  ;D
