Hey all,

I haven't been doing nothing lately. I've setup my driveway at home as a DIY central with this new rust-prevention gazebo!

Slowly getting all the tools and parts I need. Mercedessource.com seems to have all the kits and parts I need to get started so I am feeling pretty optimistic now.

Speak to you all soon.

a flying spring might....

Bought a spring compressor when getting springs for my non-W116, it's a bit like a double bearing puller, fits inside the spring. It wasn't that expensive, € 60, and made a nice "gift" to lend on a permanent basis to the mechanic that changed the springs for me.

Be careful with that gazebo Rimas; around 5 years ago I had one of them fly away on me!  :o  Make sure it's anchored down VERY securely!

Thanks Oversize,

I managed to hammer the pins down in-between the pavers. It's survived a few wild and windy nights already, let's see how it goes.

Anyway, first step today will be to see if I can source a few flex discs locally and get the power steering hoses made up. Gotta go, the day isn't getting any younger
