Warm Up Regulator (WUR) part number needed

I need to get a part number for the Warm Up Regulator on my car. I know you are all handy with this (EPC). My car is a 1979 450 SEL. VIN # 11603312093939  I think the part number is 0438140015 but am not certain.

Hey Bill, depends on your engine number, there are a few variations.

Engine 117986 12 048955 from data card if that means anything?

Then according to the EPC Bill it should be part number 116 070 02 62, don't know the Bosch number though.

The Bosch classic site gives 3 options for your car Bill, 0438 140 015, 0438 140 043 and 0438 140 068. Makes things more confusing eh?

Yeah I was going to say that it looks like 043 is the high altitude one so thats probably out, leaves you the other 2 to choose from. I of each perhaps??

If I am reading it correctly it is 1160700262

Thats right Bill, thats the Benz number I gave you, EPC says it for engines up to No. 52293, which includes yours. Just gotta match it with the right Bosch number, these blokes must be able to tell you which one you need, they look like they know their stuff.

I emailed them and they basically didn't give me a specific part #. I will call them Monday.

Yeah but which Bosch number? I was going to ask if you found out the difference between the 2 options they have available?

I called them up and gave them my cars info and he said I needed 1160700262 R (R for remanufactured I suppose). The part is in the mail so I will let you know if there is any different part # on it.
