W116 rear view mirror

Can anyone tell me how the heck to remove the rearview mirror from inside the car? I watched a video and guy said to grab on it and yank..but thats definitely not workin

Yup, yank and twist at the same time, there really is no other way.  Sit in the driver seat, and yank it towards you while twisting.

+1 for "pull and twist" or "yank towards the cabin, arcing towards the roof" method. You really need to give it a proper, sharp pull though. The first time I did this I was certain I've just destroyed the damn thing, but it's tougher than it looks.
