I am putting it in this part of the forum. But the question is what size of wrenches, screw drive etc does the w116 come with? My car has a missing set. I would like to recreate it using generic tools to keep in the boot. Not OE per say, but would be better than not having tools in the trunk. Pictures would be awesome as to the layout.

This is what's in my mid-1979 euro 450SE:

Spanners (forged steel, Matador):
- 19/17mm
- 17/14mm
- 13/11mm
- 10/8mm

Red canvas bag
Pliers (Hapewe)
Aluminium wheel bolt locating tool
17mm wheel socket (Klein)
19mm spark plug socket (Hazet)
Screwdriver handle with two flat, and two Phillips attachments (Felo)

I think they came with a fuse spare box, but this is better kept in the glove box.

Wow, thank you for the pics. I think i will be recreating this. Also thank you for the fuses idea. Definitely need a set of those in the glove box.
