Finally got my hydraulic hose back from the shop, fluids changed, new plugs/wires, thermostat, got the interior dried out and reassembled, fired it up and hit the road, went about 50 miles, no major issues. Brakes pulse a bit but otherwise I'm thoroughly impressed at the way it drove/handled considering the condition it was in when I bought it. The sliding roof even works!!!
No AC though, however there is refigerant in the lines but there is way to much to do before I tackle that system.
Shift actuator bushing for one, and the speedo quit working, the cable doesn't spin when moving anymore, I'll have to take it apart at the trans and see what's up.
Anyway, figured I'd share the news and I officially have the w116 bug, glad I bought this instead of a w126, it has a nice classic feel with tons of shiny metal trim 8).  Still a sucker for the 126 body style though, one of my favorites ever.
