Hello Gents!
I have a question regarding the A/c on my car, when i first bought it, Air blew through the vents off and on. I Charged it with Freon and it blew cold. A few weeks later the air stopped blowing through the vents all together, I have the Stupid Chrysler designed Climate control unit... witch i suspect is the problem, is there anyway i could see if i could get it to turn on again and blow through the vents again?

I suspect that you will get more help on the US spec aircon through the M100 site, simply because no-one (or probably very few anyway) has it here.

If you do a search on the M100 site for "Climate Control", you will get plenty to think about.

Hey there 500e,

I have just been through the entire climate control system on w116. Anyhow, there are many things that can cause issues with the climate control. Mainly, the blower and ac compressor are both controlled via a vacuum switch, if there is no vac present at these switches, then neither the blower will come on nor the a/c compressor. The vac diagrams are available in the library under the climate control section, If you can't find them, let me know and I will post a file. Second main problem is that the climate control servo almost always goes bad on these cars, so, even if you can get the a/c compressor to run and the blower to blow, the servo may still allow hot water to run through the heater core thus negating any cooling done by the a/c. This can also be remedied. Let me know if any of this helps or if you need more detail, I will be happy to walk you through it.
