did you compare these with the old ones? They look really long  :o

TJ 450

They're about an inch shorter than the old ones, which is perfect, because the old ones were an inch too long for the new rear section.

We're all eager for you to immigrate to Australia - we don't even need to sleep with M16's hidden under out pillows here  ;D

What did the pipes cost TJ - they look great.

They were $80 each, aluminised steel. I opted against an SS system because I wanted it as close to original as possible, in terms of both sound and aesthetics.

The subframe went on yesterday. I had to lower the car to allow me to move it back.

All it needs now is the rear brakes, transmission, thermostat housing and rear fuel hoses. Then it will be a matter of topping up all the fluids and starting it up.

Along with all my new fuel system crap thats on its way, i have ordered a meter of every type of fuel hose autohaus sells, so there will be enough for you to convince me to give you the required amounts, in exchange for installing all of mine ;)

I meant to ask on the previous page, that with all the new looking everything, which is stunning BTW, what are you going to do with the inside of the wheel arches?  Go original blue or recolour black?

Oscar, I was meaning to ask the same thing.  Obviously the blue visible in the wheel arches is originalm but it looks like the black may be original too - overspray from when the sills were painted.

I'm having visions of copying that on my trusty rusty and having the concour judges wag their finger at me.

I anticipated that comment...  ;D

The gloss black you see in the above picture is from my slight rust repair. The patchy black above it is original, or how it was at least. The gloss black is similar in tone to the original black, and is what I used on the trailing arms.

There was a small hole in the plate at the rear of the sill, as well as some light rust around the jacking point.
I've removed one of the grommets from underneath just in case water finds its way in there at some stage.

There is black overspray under all the wheel arches though... the same finish as the sills and I'm quite certain it's original.
