Throttle Valve Switch, Water Pump

Looks like it is going to be a heavy 450SE rebuilding year! I replaced the manifold pressure sensor which made the car run much better. Next the coolant recovery tank started leaking. Replaced that and now the water pump sprung a leak! My mechanic told me that if the water pump seal goes you must  replace not only the seal but the pump as well. Is that true?

The other issue that has never really gone away no matter what I try is the warm start stall. The stalling issue went away for a while and now has returned with a vengeance. Once the car is warmed up and you do a lot of stop and  start driving, it will take at least 3 tries to get the car moving from either drive or reverse. It always starts and never stalls while the car is in motion.  I have replaced most of the injection system. The only parts I have not touched are the throttle valve switch and the injectors. Can anyone explain to me how to adjust this switch? Should I  replace it? Since the car stalls when warm and only when you put it in gear, I purchased a new vacuum modulator. My mechanic doesn't feel this will solve that issue. Next week I'm going to put it in to see if it makes any difference.
