Throttle spring replace?

Hi guys
This probably falls into the brain fart category...would there be any value in replacing the vertical spring at the throttle body?  This spring goes through tons of contractions and expansions over the life span of the car so I'm sure it loses some of its action over the years?
Thoughts?
Cheers
