suspension blocks to loan or rent?

I'll likely be trailering my 6.9 in the very near future.  I'll likely be doing the same for another very low-riding 6.9 parts car.   I'd prefer real suspension blocks to making something out of wood or whatever.  Anybody got blocks they'd consider lending or renting for a couple weeks as I sort this out?

Along these lines, I wonder if anybody has tried making a mold of the blocks and casting replicas out of polyurethane?  I can't see why this wouldn't be a viable alternative to buying blocks from the Classic Center (assuming not NLA).  Cheers,

Dave I am pretty sure these became available again fairly recently, and prices are not horrendous.  Trying to make these has been explored, but from memory it was discovered that these blocks actually are not easy to replicate. Of course anything can be done with enough time/money, but I would  suggest maybe to spring for a set, especially if you are planning on playing the  6.9 long game :)  They do pop up used every now and then on ebay too but folks think they are still unobtainium which I am pretty sure they are not anymore, at least for now.

Yes!  That's just what I did.  Just got quote from the Classic Center.  They're available and came in at under $700 delivered.  Though expensive that's not totally batsh*t crazy.  Seems like a very prudent purchase.  Yet still, I wonder....  make a set of silicone molds and cast them out of a polyurethane compound similar to skateboard wheels?  Maybe that will be my winter project.

Dave does that include the tie downs for the front blocks?  I know these were priced stupid for a while, not sure if they are even available still?

I know Robert "rumb" makes a very fine set of tie downs for pennies on the dollar compared to what these were priced at when I last checked.

The.  Not sure if they include cables or not.  I'll find out soon enough.  Classic center didn't indicate "doesn't include cables."  If not I'll be back at you.

MB want $364 each for the cables so don't expect them to "include" them.  ;D

Yes.  And I'm going that route too.  That said, I'm going to be shuttling/flat-bedding/pushing 2 6.9's around and maybe even a third.  So it seems reasonable to have the real item as well.

BTW, I assume it's still possible to steer the car with the blocks in place?  Hope so....

I discovered just that yesterday morning.  But. . . .   it is very, VERY hard to steer (car wasn't running).  It took all my strength to turn the wheel.
