When i turn right there is a sound like the wheel bearings are worn on the left side. I changed those bearings but the sound is still there.
Another sound comes from what i think the gear box. Sounds like a bearing there too. Different sounds in different positions of the gear selector. Sounds really bad. I put the car on jack stands and then there were no noise at all no matter what position i put the selector in! Down on the wheels it was back.
The bushings in the gear selector linkage are really bad, so i will change them, but can the linkage make so much noise?
Might found the cause of my strange noise. The exhaust pipe on left side lay on to the front axle beam so any vibration from the pipe you can hear in the car.
Is there anyone who have a photo were the exhaust pipe passes the front axle beam?
This?

No, more like a photo so close up that one can see the distance between the pipe and the beam.
Is there any chance your motor mounts have collapsed? This will cause the engine to sit much lower.
That can definitely be the case. I'll look at it.
It was the motor mount that caused the whole thing. I replaced it on the left side and all the strange noises disappeared. Some of you might have seen my post regarding rebuilding the gear box. That's not necessary any moore...
How was changing the motor mount? Mine needs to be done? My understanding is that the motor needs to be slightly lifted or jacked.
Easy. On my 1975 350SE there were 1 10 mm allen in the center and 2 6 mm allen (you only see one). Yes, you have to lift the motor. It´s a little less space on the right side.
