Rear passenger door won't latch

Takes a good hard slam, otherwise, door is only held closed partially.

I did a search and found posts about doors not opening and only one mention of a hard to close door.

Hints and input?  Thanks.

Answering my own post.  A squirt of lithium grease fixed it.  Funny how a little lubrication could make such a difference.

Rolo, I think you will find it will return. it will be the door strikers. the little plastic tip on them breaks off and this then requires replacement. not a major issue but this is a common problem with time. the L ones differ to the R ones.

I have had this issue on my car recently. The plastic striker header broke off after 41 years of service...
Instead of replacing the entire lock, which is in good condition, I've 3D printed the striker bit and glued it on using high strength epoxy. Works like a charm.
Even if it breaks off again, it costs $0.01 to make one - no brainer fix :)
