Here is a pic of my setup albeit from a different angle, looks to be different to yours:

Thx, looks like i have it bachwards and off by angle.

Yours looks like the bracket is not parrallel to the valve arm. Would that not translate all the roll bar movement to the valve? It would just be moving con rod back and forth but not up and down?

I will look to see if shop manual has anything.

Look at the 2nd photo in my 6.9s thread.

I'm not sure if mine is correct but looking at your current setup it does look like the rod is almost maxed out in length.

Hmm I just looked at mine again and looks like the top nut on the rod is not locked down.  Weird.  Will have to fix that  ;D

My bracket looks @90 degree off from yours.

Yours looks like when the torsion bar turns, all it will do if move the rod left and right, but not so much up and down.

On mine where I have it,the clamp bracket is almost hitting the sheet metal.

look at https://handbook.w116.org/Chassis/32-320.pdf

it shows the clamp more like how you have it, but it also show a valve from?????

crude drawing showing motion of both levers.  Obviously one would make the suspension much more "active"   But how did MB design it to work?

Yes in the link you have from the service manual that looks like a W123 wagon valve.  We might need some more 6.9 drivers to do some crawlin' and snappin'  ;D

I found the attached picture in the manual and it looks like daantjies.
But i can try to take a picture from my car tommorow.

rumb

OK, found this in the manual. looks like it give a bit more priority to lifting the car.

Mine need a bit more angle - I will attempt to measure angle off of drawing and set accordingly.

Daniel, yours looks like it need to go the other way a tad, and you have the rod mounted on the wrong side.

I dont think that's right Daniel.  there is no amplitude via the rod to the valve?

daantjie

I looked at it again up close and there really is just 1 way for the bracket to be attached to the sway bar.  The flat section of the bracket sits flush to the flat section on the bar itself, then the u bolt follows the curve of the bar, so really there is only 1 way you can connect it to my eye.

I noticed the flat in the drawing. Need to check on my car.

on our car, when we bought it. If memory serves me there is indeed a flat spot on the rollbar.
