Hi me again.

I am having intermittent power supplies issues to my radio.

But I can't really work out where I am actually getting power from, the power cable runs into the loom that plugs into the cig lighter

Is this factory ?

Does anyone have any tips

The problem is the inline fuse. If You shake it the head unit flicks on and off.

Is it just something I replace or?

As I recall the radio fuse is the inline fuse jammed in the fusebox.  I'd pull it out, clean contacts as best you can (like with pencil eraser).  for good measure replace the fuse as well.

I think maybe the holder it's self is faulty. It only very loosely holds the fuse

Easy enough to splice in a new one.  But it's also possible that somebody tried to use the wrong fuse type.  I found that everything that can be imagined with these cars has been tried by somebody someplace.
