Wow, so that's how to get in when you loose your keys :D

It's unfortunate a lot of us can't see the forum and I gotta admit Gomerp I didn't know what to make of your original post either when it popped up.  Excited by the title then blocked by the link with a message saying I was a good for nothing spamster, or words to that effect.  I got blocked basically, however, I can see the site http://www.24hoursoflemons.com/ and the overview video.  This event looks like a hell of a lot of fun.  It might make some cringe to see a merc get trashed but there's so many about that aren't far off the crusher, might as well have some fun before they meet their ultimate demise.  My biggest regret is not going through with a stunt in 07 where the plan was to jump my brown 280 into and through a friend's farm house that was set to be demolished.  We had difficulties setting it up before time was up to burn the house, plus I went a little chicken s*&#. ::)   A track event such as this would be awsome.  Good luck with it.

the LeMons looks like a heap of fun.  Is there something like this running in Australia?

I suspect with the vast resources you could put together a race there.  All it takes is a 500 dollar car, some safety modifications and 100 or so of your closeist friends to make a go of it.  We do 3-4 races a year.  Our last car was a 1962 Plymouth Fury.  It won the top award.

Here is a link.  I hope you can see it there.

Best luck.

Still has the Mississippi tags on her.  I gave the car to a friend who lost his car in the flood.

The car is on the way to get a cage and a new life as a race car.  Notice the suspension is very high.  The nitrogen was all gone in the suspension.  Ordering parts on AZAutohaus.

The first change was tires.

The sunroof failed and after two years of rain and heat this is what I got back.  Nasty.  The floors were not damaged at all.  The dash was ruined as was all the wood in the car.

A small engine fire let me know that the car would never ge restored.  The underside of the hood was scorched and actually has several holes where the flames were the hotest.
