I've seen absolutely gorgeous w116 for $4000 and complete junk for $3000. Luck and timing.  there are a bunch out there, so just look until you find a good one.

Got mine for $2500 out of Love lol though the body is in good shape, didnt take into consideration the rusty areas you all mentioned. rushing for an inspection
