New antenna

Hi guys,

I am needing to replace the antenna on my '74 350SE.

Can anyone run me through the process involved?

As it is one of the earlier ones, the antenna is on the front right hand side of the car (RHD). Do I need to remove the wheel to get access to it?

Cheers

Easiest  access is to remove front wheel for working room , then remove inner fender panel at back of wheel well.  you should be able to see the antennae from there.

On the inside you will probably have to remove the side footwell carpet panel, if you look in the small grill you will see a screw holding that on, then you can easily pull off the larger panel.

I replaced my aerial just last week, same procedure as  said. Though my aerial lead had a "connection" to another lead behind the inner wheel arch cover that went to the radio.

Must be one of the easiest jobs on the 116.
