mounting 6.9 engine on stand

Bolts for this task will arrive in a couple days. In the meantime the prospect is making me nervous.  I don't want to mess up anything else because of unknown unknowns. Here's my topic-of-the-day:

I assume that the engine stand plate is mounted to the large flange joining the block to the bell housing.   See picture. That flange bolts through to the block at points A, B, C, and D.  Further flange mounting bolts are behind the flywheel etc.  Points E and F obviously don't bolt to the block.  The flange is reinforced behind these points.  On top it seems obvious to use A+D or B+C.  What about the bottom?  Any reason not to bolt the engine stand plate onto points E and F?  Or does the stand have to bolt directly to the block?  (Necessitating getting the torque converter, ring etc all off to remove the flange.)  Suggestions and experienced commentary welcome.  Thanks,

I'd probably use A D E F.  B and C would also work depends on if/how you can get the engine stand arms to line up.

You need E and F because gravity will be be pushing hard at the bottom.
