Hello there, I am trying to replace my original distributor in my 75 280S with one that has vacuum advance..does anyone know how hard it would be to get the electronic distributor from a 77 280SE fuel injected car to work in my carbureted 75 280S points car?
It's all pretty straightforward. If you have access to a parts car, you can just transfer the whole setup. The only issue is the 6V vs. 12V coil which has the two ballast resistors. The black 12V coil and single works with the ignition box although may be a reliability issue in the long term as it will place additional stress on the transistor.
