Title: m110 intake gasket part number?
Post by: Diesel 617 on 12 February 2019, 12:05 PM
Does anyone have the part number for an intake gasket on a  79' 280se, I can only seem to find the gasket in the larger kits containing the head gasket. I might need to pull the intake manifold to put the wur back on, plus if I don't its great to have a spare.

It's 110-141-13-80, and is still available from Mercedes for only $12.00. :)

Wonderful, thank you! Neither FCPEuro or RMEuro carry it, and only one on ebay (12$). Picked it up from mboemparts for 8.51  :)

You definitely avoided a bullet by FCP not having it.

Really? How come? I've had great experiences with them.

FCP URO is well known for the inferior parts they flood the market with.  Only a handful of parts they offer are of any use.  Ones that come directly to mind are windshield seals and motor mounts.  The window seals don't fit, and the motor mounts come pre-collapsed in the box.

Yes, I see where you getting at. They do have to my meyle and other junk brands. They do supply some quality brands though, and for their price and warranty, I see no reason to avoid them.

But FCP URO doesn't supply any brand other than their own.....I'm rather confused at what you mean when you say they supply quality brands.....

I think you're confusing URO (parts manufacturer) with FCPEuro (parts supplier, like AutohausAZ)

URO does repackage certain items and they mfg other ones. For instance URO antennae mast they repack, but the white knobs that hold the headlight  and tailight covers on they make.

URO also goes by APA in some listings so you have to be careful. But yes FCP Euro is a vendor with pretty good prices and service and is not related to URO trash as far as I know.

Then there are a lot of people out there that won't buy from FCP for the reasons I had in mind.  Honestly, I haven't bought aftermarket parts in many years due to the poor quality and high failure rates of the parts.  I was losing money having to do jobs over again.  Hence, my being out of the loop.
