Left them on the rear parcel shelf while drying all the interior glass. :-[
Have tried levering the door to drop a coat hanger down, but the wire seems to get trapped inside the plastic door moulding.
Next I tried to lift the bottom window aluminium trim but it doesn't seem to be possible (from the outside) without bending the metal.
Also tried forcing down the driver's window but it wasn't budging.
I do still have access to the boot, but can't see any access through there. Sheet metal everywhere!

Maybe try accessing the vacuum line in the trunk and then forcing air into the green line?
Do you have an sunroof ? you can open the sunroof manually from the boot

You probably mean vacuum. should be able to apply vac and unlock everything, remove the carpet in rear of trunk and open the 5" square panel, the vac lines are inside.

I do but Im guessing the battery is flat, disconnected it before Christmas for a (failed) fuel pump renewal. ;D

I'll try the vacuum trick first. Hopefully a large syringe designed for oil changes will work.
Couldn't find a junction for the vacuum (window close line only, not sure if I could have applied suction to trick it into opening?).
So I tried the sunroof trick, bingo!

20mm socket was fouled by the boot lid hinge so had to mess around with it.
Then remembered that the plastic flap of the sunroof was failing to close last time I'd used it, but managed to wedge it down with an Allen key. Phew!
