Hi Team.  I have something funny going on here.  I'm not sure if this is the correct  rotor button for my car?

After ordering a new one using vin# and engine #
I was sent this

I am sort of feeling the one installed  could be for a 280se?
My car is a 76 280s

Here I go asking for help again.  I hope I can repay with you guys when I go to do the body work. I am a panel beater and spray painted with almost 30 years experience.
Cheers Justin.

Thanks John.

I am having trouble understanding  how a rotor button can be a Rev limiter.  But as a mechanic  I make a great automotive  painter.   ;D

Is the ignition  timing different between them?

hi justin my mechanical knowledge is basic, and what i do know i learned on here, but thats what it is a rev limiter rotor.

designed to protect engines from over revving maybe in a manual car if you missed a gear etc

subject to correction
