How to remove radiator

I'm trying to remove my radiator/oil cooler assembly on my 6.9 as the oil cooler is leaking. I believe I have everything undone and it wiggles but won't slide up. There seem to be some rubber bits either side of the rad and oil cooler that should slide up inside some kind of frame, is that right? Do I just need to try harder or have I missed something?

I believe it should be the same procedure as for my 280SE which I recently removed.  Yes, there are 2 rubber vertical pieces on each side. They should come up together with the radiator when you slide it upwards. But before that, you need to remove 2 pressure brackets/clips, one on each side. They are located in the upper part and outside the vertical metal frames that surround the radiator itself.  I don't have access to the car now but if you need I can send you a picture later today.

Once you pop the metal clips out and off the rubber slides. The radiator is a tight fit, lift one side at a time and keep switching, you'll get half an inch or so at first. The radiator or the frame where it sits in must be shaped like a V. Once about half way up you can pull it out in one shot.

Remember to loosen the nuts on the bolts that connect the oil cooler to the radiator. This will hopefully allow you to push the radiator and oil cooler closer together to relieve side tension.

Lots of penetrant type spray like PB Blaster or WD40 is key. Liberally soak the channels then lots of wiggle and brute force  ;)

Thanks for the replies, I managed it in the end. The oil cooler along with a replaced rear sls valve means it's almost a leak-free car now!
