It's also interesting that there is that additional small diameter hose leading to the accumulator as well. I wonder if there is any info on this in the K-Jet manuals.

It's certainly damping some sort of unwanted energy or vibration in the fuel as it is being fed. It would be very interesting to find out what that was.

That small hose is to collect fuel from a ruptured accumulator diaphragm.

While looking for something unrelated in the M100 engine manual I came across a section on fuel pump noises.

There's explanations of what the noise is (stimulated vibrations of floor or gas bubbles in fuel pump at high temp and/or altitude) but the cure is

Install fuel filter with damper 001 477 84 01

Exchange intake damper for diaphragm damper 000 476 00 16, this looks like the new style damper 126 470 01 16 mentioned earlier.

I deduce from this that the old style big intake damper was an empty diaphragm-less can but the new one does have a diaphragm as stated before.

Didn't know fuel filters had dampers either.
