Fuel Strainer Socket size

Hi all,

This might seem like a dumb question, but does anyone know what size socket a guy could use to remove or tighten the fuel strainer. Any time that I've removed it I always had the tank out and was able to just use some adjustable pliers. The tank is back in now after being removed for the third time. This time the tank was coated and now the 450 seems to be running fine, other than a slight weep of gas from where the strainer seats. If I knew the size of the socket I could borrow it from the College I work at and tighten it in situ. I measured something like 46mm?

Thanks in advance,

Scott

Thanks S-Class, I got the 46 mm socket and I'll post whether this works or not.

Hi Scott, I performed this job last year, you do need a 46mm socket.  I documented the procedure here:
