Hi everyone,

I'm having a tough time with the hose from the pump to the damper.
Damper is 12mm OD and Pump is 15mm OD.
I don't know what to do, the old hose is all rotten and I'm pretty sure its not original.

I can only assume the new pumps changed this diameter and previously were 12mm? i don't know.
The pump is Bosch 69435. Which even by Bosch site is correct for my car.

As you may understand, the 15mm is to wide for the damper connection. I tried with 13mm and its barely fitting on the damper side, but no way into the pump 15mm side.

I would greatly appreciate any ideas.

thanks in advance

Note: this is the old pump. the new one has the same diamenter.

You are correct that pumps changed. My 1977 model originally had the 12mm connection on both sides. I got a replacement pump from Mercedes-Benz direct and it is a 15mm. I was fortunate in that I had a spare old damper that had a 15mm outlet. I think this is the only way forward - find a used damper with a 15mm outlet. It will be from a late model year.

Thank you.
With your information, I found that there is damper, part No.1164700516, that seems to have a bigger port. I assume is the 15mm you mention.
And there's damper, part No. 1164700216, which is similar to mine with 12mm port.

The damper with number 1164700516 has a 14 mm inlet and outlet. The leak is 6 mm.

I have that damper on my car. I recently replaced the entire system. The pump (K-jetronic) inlet is also 14 mm, so no problem in my case.

The pressure on the suction side is low. Hence a solution is to put a inner hose on the damper only with inner diameter 12mm and outer diameter 15 mm (if you can find one, must be fuel resistant). And put the 15mm hose on top. Tighten well with a good clamp. It might work, it's just an idea. I have not done it this way before.

Thanks, i already purchased a 1164700516 on ebay. expensive for what it is!
I was thinking on what you mention about the small hose, but decided i dont want to mess with gas parts.
