Title: front windscreen gasket
Post by: Rob Smith on 19 July 2022, 05:45 PM
I have an early 1973 Mercedes 450se. I'm need to replace the windscreen gasket and curious if any one out there has a part number for it and/or where to get it.

Has a link for a great video on how to do also.

Buy one from Mercedes only.

PS if you put your car in your signature you wont have to mention it every time.

3M Bedding and Glazing Compound is what you use to seal it to the body.

Hi Rob. Pelican parts is the place to source original OEM front and rear window seals. Part Numbers per the attached photos. Recommend you approach a classic auto trimmer who can likely refer you to an old fashioned window installer for these items.

Guys....don't forget that the sealant goes between the body and seal, AND between the seal and glass after installation. The part number for the seal is 116-670-00-39, and the part number for the sealant is 001-989-31-20.
