Front Caliper needed - Correct part confusion?

Switch to K-Jet for the 280SE happened in February 1976, as per official documents. It wasn't done for all models at the same time - a common misconception. The switchover started around July 1975, for MY76 cars.

So your car could have rolled off the line in early 1976, and that's where the mystery ends

Then, car is definitely not a 1977 (as stated) which originated the confusion for ordering parts that didn't fit.
To answer the question above, yes, the dataplate states it's a 280SE (116024). This model was in production from 1972 until 1980.
Serial number in that dataplate is 5477 for that production year run, which implies production around March-May of that year (approximation).
Bottom line question still remains, what calipers to order?
A visual inspection of them should close this mystery. TBC.

Front brake caliper bolt MB # 123-421-02-71.

If you have brake pads mounted in the other front caliper you can determine if it is ATE or Bendix by the style of retaining clips.
Bendix uses two wires, and ATE uses a cross shaped spring steel clip.

I would recommend the ATE calipers as they are more readily available.

If you have brake pads mounted in the other front caliper you can determine if it is ATE or Bendix by the style of retaining clips.
Bendix uses two wires, and ATE uses a cross shaped spring steel clip.

Am I correct in assuming that this is the correct part which says it applies to vehicles dated 07/75

Nugeon is not an ATE or Bendix part. Suggest Pelican Parts, Mercedes Classic Center or AutohausAZ. Alternatively, find a pair of genuine callipers from a wrecker and have them rebuilt by a brake shop using the correct parts.

Nugeon and CARDONE are rebuilding / rebfurbing ATE / BENDIX calipers
The one I bought is stamped BENDIX as a factory unit and was rebuilt
These companies not not manufacturing these parts, they are simply refurbishing them
Note the photo attached of the Nugeon caliper I ordered which has BENDIX STAMP on it

Already tried googling these part numbers and anything i found was insanely expensive to ship to canada or was not available for shipping to canada or was not in stock. Pelican parts says "No Longer Available"

Hence I am still searching for what to order. the Link I shared for the part from Rockauto / FCPeuro are my only two options at this point unless someone else can share a third option?

I found a good selection on this website under 1977 280SE. But most of them are not in stock or special order only.
Based on my data plate, should I be searching under 1977 280SE or 1976 280S?

Thanks for sharing but I'm in Canada and this will take 2+ weeks to deliver and the shop wants it out of there ASAP as do I
