On the technical spesifications page it says that an MB 280s/se/sel can have three different engines: 110.922 , 110.983 and 110.985
Does anybody know how to tell what engine my 1973 280 se has got?

Your engine would be either the 110.983 or 110.985 depending on the year. Have a look in the library for the year the engines changed. This does assume the engine is the original as it is possible it has been swapped.
Also, for general information, the 110.922 is the 280S.
