Door adjustment

Is there any adjustment other than the striker plate? Just refitted the front passenger door and it no longer fits. Rear edge has dropped so much the top corner is overlapping the rear door.

There's some adjustment through the hinges as well. Needs two people though, unless you fancy a workout :)

Care to expand? Not sure what I have done but it was the only door that the hinge was taken off the pillar. Others fitted perfectly. Thought I might correct it with a shim or two.

Mark, Lucas means to loosen the hinges from the door.  They also have some movement when loosened.  Do take heed to his suggestion of using a helper.

That a no then?

Sorry, missed the thread.
Yes, loosen the hinges top and bottom - not much, just enough to have minimal clearance for the door to move.
Then, with a helper, you will be able to pivot the door up/down and, if I'm not mixing it up with the W124, also back/forward.

Here's a couple frames showing how they did it on the assembly line: https://youtu.be/K_NKoMF3k38?t=275

Thanks for all that. Who would have thought that such a small movement at the A pillar could incrementally be so significant at the B pillar. I did think the there was something fund seriously wrong as the amount of the door drop was excessive. Still all corrected now and I did do it all on my own. Turned out to be not much of a problem really although they are heavy.
