In this video, you can see a w123 doing what it's not supposed to do.  I think this is a 300D turbo, because the front lamps arne't circular (those are for low model diesels).

I think they did that by advancing the injection timing.  Pumping in diesel way before the piston reaches top dead centre.
Trading economy for power and black smoke, lots of black smoke.

I would love to see what one of the turbo or supercharged 6.9s could do! Would be very impressive I would imagine :shock:

hokman:  I think those diesels just redefined the term "burnout"!   :D

Noticed that about the only other vehicle to lay lots of rubber was the Suzuki 1100 'charged bike - leaving a burn mark at every upchange.

All that racing reminds me of the fact that the 500E/E500 from the early 90s was quicker than a Lamborghini from 100km/h to 200km/h. That is overtaking performance for you! Don't know about newer cars so much but I wouldn't be at all surprised if the big V8s could still perform similarly.
