Cruise control

I noticed today that my cruise would only work if I move the stick in the up position to accelerate. Anyone know what could be the cause?

When mine did that it was the control box. Here in W. Australia I found a place that replaces the innards with more modern electronic stuff, no trouble since (about 10 years).

ECU is bad, very common problem on 116's. I believe George Murphy from Performance Analysis sells rebuild units on exhange.

It was a *long* time ago, south of the river along Orrong Road I think, before you reach Leach Hwy. Walter at Auto Exclusive in East Perth may know who/where, I think he referred me to them. They later fixed the one in my 928 as well.

I never replaced anything. It is probably the Cruise Control Amplifier.
