Continuing with 6.9 #1432

Just yesterday I received the intake manifold components and repaired thermostat housing from the engineering shop.
Essentially they were cleaned and the thermostat housing welded and reinforced due to cracks at the flange.

Tim, I thought the thermostat housings were still available and not horrendously expensive?

Indeed, they are available. Last I heard it was approx. $1k, so I'll likely look into getting a new one down the track for the 6.3 if my spare one isn't up to it.

The one for this car was otherwise in nice shape so as long as it remains leak free I won't worry about it. From what I understand it looks like they are supplying the 6.9 version only now for all the cars unless I'm mistaken.
