Confirmation of 1976 350SE Euro Vacuum Advance Retard

ok.
had a look at a spare throtle body, and felt the preasures on the car.

I have two ports. and after testing using method above i can now label them.



and also looking at positions of holes, First the Smaller Retard (shown with butterfly open)



and then the Advance hole (above the butterfly)



so my diagram is correct.

i also found another picture of a 350se (without the device on firewall), which is members Type17 car, so might ask him to look in his bonnet.



I wonder if they (PO) had them wrong way around and had to advance the dis to copentsate for incorect advance.

I have changed over the vacuum pipes, and will see how easy she is to start in the morning, note i have also retarted the distrabutor to about 3/4, more like what overs have reported. but when i get another working timming light i will set it properly.

A final note .. the timing was at 12 (without vacuum) , but thats after i moved it back by 1/4. Now it is 0 (without vacuum).

but still stumbles, hesitates, under load :( . but i have a few things to do. oil change, tank filter.. if still happens will create new topic
