The guys the previous owner installed this Becker Europa radio in my 1980 300sd. There are Bluetooth kits that I can connect to the back of the radio but I'm trying to figure out what kit or what model radio this is. It appears the connector on the back takes 6 pins but they are not round holes they are blade shaped. See pics. Last pic is zoomed in on the connector.
It looks like a Becker 599.

Awesome! Thank you!
Well shit! They make a Bluetooth kit that plugs into the 6 pin DIN on the back of the radio. However, the 6 pin input is MONO. So streaming music would be mono.... LAME!!!
Any of you guys familiar with a company in the southeast United States that would be able to modify the 599 radio and convert 6 pin DIN to stereo?
Your 599 is stereo, not mono. All 300SD's came with stereo radio. If your radio was a mono radio there would only be one speaker plug on the rear, not two.
Just to add to the comment about the mono Bluetooth sound... In my 300SD I have the stock Becker Mexico head-unit that is disabled from playing radio/tapes and the volume knob is used a switch to turn on the Infinity Kappa K5 Bluetooth amp in the trunk. I have a Boston Acoustics subwoofer with 4 Pioneer Mid-highs in the cabin area.
That way when I get in my car and turn it on, the Bluetooth links up with my iPhone and plays music wirelessly. It's pretty awesome and sounds infinitely better than the stock cardboard speakers. It's fun having someone in my old car and whipping out my phone and playing some hard drum & bass. They never saw it coming!
