Does it reside behind the trunk panel that covers that side of the trunk?  When the trunk panel is there you can't see the antenna anyway.  Odd. In any case, my car doesn't have one.  Maybe It's a lack that I've been unaware of and now I need one too.  ???

Wow
Never seen one of those before.
But I wonder of its functionality (?). A cover that is covered by the wheel-well cover. Maybe a case of MB over engineering. Or maybe another way of dealership to charge 200+ bucks for an aftermarket unnecessary plastic piece (??)
Too funny prices go up as this discussion here goes on. Made me wonder if the seller(s) are already part of this site (???)
:)

All I can possibly think of here is that maybe the earliest cars didn't have the lining either side. Never seen one before.

For me if it doesn't exist in Xentry/EPC, it's not a factory item. Maybe part of an accessory? All cars came with the hard-felt lining, so I smell a rat here.

Oh it's a real thing.  Part number 116-693-00-63.  That green 450se I just bought, as well as my 280s, both have this piece.  I've only seen then on cars 1975 or earlier.  And yeah, those prices are typical of American Fat Cat greed.  This country will yet hang itself by the rope from which it sold to the hangman.....all out of greed.  Such a shame.

Bear in mind that this plastic antenna cover is to be used with a specific felt lining.  They attach together with those little gray push pins.

I wish I had this part. On earlier cars the antenna sits exposed in rather ugly way without that. Someone with a 3D printer and a model could make some of those and sell on ebay, justo for the sake of sinking those 200+ USD adds.
