Air conditioning pipe insulation recommendations?

I speak of the large tube from the compressor that wraps around/under the front of the engine.  Somebody patched it up with the split EVA foam insulation for domestic heating pipe.  It's in appalling condition and I don't know if was done as intended in any case.  There are also small sections of that tubing where the original insulation seems to remain - some kind of soft foam.   Anybody know what it is, have a source or a recommendation?   A picture of what it's supposed to look like would also be great.  Mine was so bad I don't know what I'm trying to replicate.  any help appreciated, thanks,

Pretty sure it was always that type of split foam but fixed with contact adhesive. An alternative would be to wrap it in the same tape as the TX valve and interior pipes.

I used the foam insulation from the hardware store.

Yes visually at least it looks like foam insulation you find around one of the fuel hoses at the pump  package. Not sure but I think the hose between the accumulator and the pump.

Check "Armaflex HT Pipe Insulation"
It's good between -60°C and +150°C and oil resistant.

Thanks for the comments, I'll chase them down. To be clear, the reason I asked is that my pipe had some kind of soft, somewhat sticky foam.  It easily deformed under finger pressure but rebounds after a time.  The pipe also had a section with the split EVA foam that was obviously a later semi-fix by somebody along the way.  I'd like to find a more elegant and original solution.  Cheers,
