Hi Guys,
This group is incredible, and I'm excited to be part of it. You guys helped me get a California 6.9 that was abandoned in a garage in Minneapolis for 20 years to lift up and be able to be driven around the block.
Its not a perfect car, but its relatively clean (I always say that with reservation..its a w116).
But my diagnostic skills have stalled, I actually need to diagnose the fueling issue it has (discussed in another thread).
Does anybody have a relatively specific kit or suggested kit I should purchase for fuel pressure testing? I'm not afraid of making an investment, but there are so many options out there, I really don't know where to start.
If anybody has a list of fittings and gauges, or a kit that worked for them for a MB V8, I'd be infinitely grateful for the guidance.
I hope to be able to drive it more than around the block this summer, and I think getting the fuel pressures right will be key.
Thanks so much!
Giuseppe

You're looking for something like this: https://www.amazon.com/BETOOLL-Injection-Pressure-Tester-Gauge/dp/B01L17TPT2/ref=psdc_15707421_t1_B06XKD6VL5 (https://www.amazon.com/BETOOLL-Injection-Pressure-Tester-Gauge/dp/B01L17TPT2/ref=psdc_15707421_t1_B06XKD6VL5)
There are lots of similar kits. The biggest difference that I can see is the number of adapters/fittings. Err on the side of flexibility and get one with lots of adapters. As Daniel says, this is essential for figuring out what's going on with your fuel injection.
This one is supposed to be K-Jet specific. I bought it a year or two ago (and have yet to use). At this point, I'd probably sooner go with the toolkit listed above that's half the price.

Thats the kit Tim said didn't have all of what was needed lol. But yeah, I'll go with the cheaper kit as it seems more complete

ah, I was too lazy to watch the Youtube videos. Hm. Hopefully it isn't incomplete. I'll be rather pissed if it is.
