Hi there, i have a question. Are the brake lines in the W116's made of the better nickel copper material? I ask because i noticed they seem to last like forever. And cars now the brake lines rot out after like 10-15 years. Just helped a friend with a suburban and all the lines were rotted.

I don't know what they're made of, but I do know that between them being coated with a sacrificial zinc and cosmoline coating they do seem to last a long time.  Though, I've have seen plenty of W116 cars with rusted brake lines.  So they're not totally corrosion resistant.  It just depends on the how/what/if/when the sacrificial coating wears off.

I thank you for sharing that info about the coatings on the lines..i thought there may have been a coating or something on them or maybe something other than regular steel lines used
