6.9 struts overhaul

Hi, guys,

yesterday I bought an old strut. It's an old rear strut from a 6.9. My plan is to practice the overhaul on this damper, so that I can restore all 4 struts of my 6.9. I changed all 5 bull eggs last year and am satisfied so far, but I still think the car is too hard. Since the hydraulic lines were all wrongly connected, I guess the shock absorbers need an overhaul as well.To have this done by a specialist is too expensive for me.
Now my question: I have read fantastic stories in this forum about the overhaul of the struts, including the dimensions of the O-rings and the PTFE seals. Problem is that I can't find them anymore. Can anyone help me find these stories?

Thanks a lot
Greeting
Bjorn

Also I am quite amused by the "bull egg" reference, I assume something got lost in translation ha-ha, this must be the accumulators ;D

Also member "rumb" (Robert) sells a rebuild kit with the seals you need.

Thanks a lot. Yes in Germany the accumulators of 6.9 are named as "Bulleneier".

Great forum. I will report.
