Title: 6.9 Steering gear leaking

The steering gear on my 6.9 leaks. I am thinking of change all seals by myself. Does anybody has experience on this matter

I had my box overhauled by a Merc specialist who actually worked on these boxes when he was attached to MB in Stuttgart.
You might survive getting the seals and all the bits back in  but the setting up of these boxes with special preload is "nightmaremaximass". there are special factory tools and the procedure, as I read it, left me cold.
There are some jobs best left to experience..equipment..training and knowledge.................of course if the box is so clagged as to be leaking, it begs the question as to overall wear.

I'm fairly certain someone did a write-up on the procedure years ago. I'd do a bit of a search for past threads.

As Randys01 has said, setting the box up might be the challenge.
